James W. GRENARD, 69, of 1821 Old 55 died at 1 a.m. Tuesday in Culver Union Hospital. He retired from RR Donnelley & Sons Aug 1, 1977. He attended Waynetown and Clarks Hill schools. He was a WWII veteran, serving in Europe with the 45th Infantry Division. He was a member of Mercer Masonic Lodge 633 of Wingate, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Waynetown Order of Eastern Star 435, Wingate American Legion 174, Donnelly Square Club and Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Mr. Grenard was born at Attica July 12, 1916 to Floyd Otis and Nancy Mae Kunkel Grenard. He was married Oct 14, 1941 to Anna Elizabeth Wilson. She survives. Other survivors two sons, John E. of Athens, Tenn and Jay W of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Mrs. Guy (Carolyn Jean) Thompson of State College, Pa and three grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. The funeral is scheduled for 2:30 Friday in the Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Revs. Harry Randolph and Ronald Lawhead officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday. A masonic service is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Military graveside services will be performed by the Wingate Post. Memorials may be made to the Montgomery County Heart fund.
